Alexandra Garcia

Research Analyst and Project Manager

Alexandra(she/her) holds an M.A. in Applied Anthropology from San Jose State University. She first joined Mosaic America as an intern on the Mosaic Atlas project, where she worked closely with the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe to document their cultural narratives through audio recordings. Now a full-time member of the team, she helps with long-term research and mapping initiatives such as focusing on documenting Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) artists and culture bearers across the Bay Area. Alexandra manages project logistics, administration, outreach efforts, and research-based projects, ensuring equitable representation in Mosaic America’s initiatives. She also supports special projects, including oral history interviews, social media campaigns, and community convenings, contributing to data-driven insights for project development.
