Find activities for all ages at these workshops at the Mosaic Festival, from arts & crafts to gentle movement, dance tutorials and indigenous beading. Due to our effort to maintain a healthy social distance, seats will be limited and the workshops will be accessible on a first come, first served basis.

The Confederation of Ohlone Peoples

 
The Confederation of Ohlone Peoples came into being in 2009. We are a Cooperative made up of the Descendants of Ohlone People, as well as community advocates. Our common mission is to increase the visibility and interests of present day Ohlone.

AUM Arts Unity Movement

 

AUM is a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to the therapeutic arts through performances and workshops. AUM works with Mental health and Recovery Providers, especially those who work with our marginalized communities. We offer tools that address secondary trauma and cultivate compassion and self-care.

The Get Down

 
At The Get Down, we are home to freestylers and street dancers alike with a focus on hip hop, funk, afro and Latin street styles. We live by the motto that dance is a tool to build relationships. With this motto, our goal is to nurture the inner dancer and to provide a safe space where individuals can build and grow their artistic expression.

Jeffrey Fung

 

Sifu Jeffrey Fung has studied Chinese Martial Arts since his early childhood with the finest martial arts masters in Hong Kong. His passion and dedication to martial arts led him to focus on the teachings of energies and dynamics of Tai Chi. He spent a majority of his time learning the Yang style Tai Chi and the Tai Chi Praying Mantis style. Currently, he is an instructor at the San Lorenzo Community Center and Choa Chow Association Center in San Jose California, as well as a member of the Tai Chi Health Association in San Jose and Saratoga Senior Center.

Kavita Patel

 
Kavita is a certified 200-hour yoga teacher in the Bay area teaching adults of all ages and children from toddlers to teens. Her company, Monkey Bear Yoga brings yoga to schools and community spaces. Kavita’s practice honours the roots of yoga while remaining playful, joyful and accessible to all.
