Ensamble Folclórico Colibrí
In November of 2015, Arturo Magaña founded Ensamble Folclórico Colibrí, which as of 2020, was the first ever LBTQ Folklorico Academy. Arturo has toured with Linda Ronstadt throughout his career, and performed at various renowned festivals and with popular recording artists.

House of Inanna
Based here in San Jose, House of Inanna performs improvised, synchronized group bellydance all over California for a decade, and now all over the internet. We are known for great technique, sword- and basket dances, and bespoke performances. We bring love and humor, a sense of community and of the sacred into our shows. We can – virtually or IRL – make your parties special, and you can take our classes via Zoom on Saturday mornings and Monday evenings or live, just of The Alameda, on Wednesday evenings!

Jeffrey Fung of Saratoga Tai Chi Group
Sifu Jeffrey Fung has studied Chinese Martial Arts since his early childhood with the finest martial arts masters in Hong Kong. His passion and dedication to martial arts led him to focus on the teachings of energies and dynamics of Tai Chi. He spent a majority of his time learning the Yang style Tai Chi and the Tai Chi Praying Mantis style. Currently, he is an instructor at the San Lorenzo Community Center and Choa Chow Association Center in San Jose California, as well as a member of the Tai Chi Health Association in San Jose and Saratoga Senior Center.

New Ballet
New Ballet is San Jose’s leading ballet organization, with a professional company and the area’s only American Ballet Theatre Certified School. Founded in 2016 by Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer Dalia Rawson, New Ballet performs a full season of classical and contemporary in downtown San Jose. New Ballet School offers classes for students ages 2.5 to pre-professional, as well as drop in classes for adults, providing expert ballet training with a focus on dancer physical, emotional and mental health.

Parangal Dance Company
Parangal’s mission is to give tribute to Philippine heritage by preserving and promoting ethnic attire, music, and dance through research, workshops, and performances. Parangal aims to serve as a bridge, inspiring and connecting Filipinos in diaspora to their roots to give them a sense of pride and identity, while educating diverse communities to foster awareness and appreciation of Philippine arts and culture.

San Jose Jazz
San Jose Jazz presents the David Lechuga Trio. David is a San Jose-based guitarist, a 2022 awardee of the SJZ Jazz Aid Fund and a performer in this year’s SJZ New Works Fest. He’s a fixture in the Bay Area live music scene, performing in diverse genres as an in-demand bandleader, freelancer and soloist. David is a Distinguished Graduate in Jazz from Sonoma State University, where he studied with Randy Vincent, and a Masters candidate at Mills College, where he studied under Roscoe Mitchell. He recently performed at the 2022 Jazz Plaza Festival in Havana, Cuba.
Rosangela Silvestre
Rosangela Silvestre is a choreographer, instructor, dancer and creator of the Silvestre Dance Technique. Silvestre, a native of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, graduated with a bachelor’s and post-graduate degree in dance from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). She has traveled the world teaching, performing, facilitating and researching diverse dance traditions and techniques. In 2011, Silvestre completed an album called, “Voices of Nature.”

Experience Casulo performed by Rosangela Silvestre, choreographer, instructor, dancer and creator of Silvestre Technique, gracing the Mosaic Festival stage from Bahia, Brazil! Casulo explores ALAFIA (the confirmation of positivity that anything can happen), IROKO (the Ancestral Presence in all trees that protects and calls attention to the destruction of Nature), CASULO (living in honor to what is giving) and LIFE (giving attention to everything that is happening without control).

Simorgh Dance Collective
Farima Berenji’s training and experience with the Farima Dance Company, inspired her to begin a worldwide collaboration with other traditional dancers and musicians in the Simorgh Dance Collective, a world community of expert and emerging artists devoted to cross-cultural dialogue and artistic collaboration in traditional, classical, and sacred dance styles of the Silk Road.

The Get Down / Brian “Rapaido” Rapido (Hip Hop)
At The Get Down, we are home to freestylers and street dancers alike with a focus on hip hop, funk, afro and Latin street styles. We live by the motto that dance is a tool to build relationships.
